Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a crucial role in managing general accounting duties and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication. This position involves general ledger posting, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and inventory-related tasks. Strong communication skills within the accounting team and with production and fulfillment teams are essential to ensure accurate and timely customer billing.

ResponsibilitiesInvoice customers and verify customer contact information.Review and apply customer payments.Take credit card information over the phone.Manage the flow of customer invoices through B2B portals, including international portals.Provide collection activity for all past due accounts on a timely basis, including emailing and phone calls.Provide excellent customer service through timely response time and polite correspondence.Communicate regularly with the accounting and marketing teams regarding past due accounts.Manage all incoming shipments by unloading, inspecting, and verifying goods against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies, and storing items in designated locations.Accurately record details of incoming shipments, update inventory records, and provide reports as needed.Post inventory adjustments and revalue inventory as necessary.
Essential SkillsExperience in accounts receivable with at least two years in a similar role.Experience working with international company portals for accounts receivable payments.Business to Business accounts receivable experience.Public company experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Netsuite.Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma with two years of experience in Accounts Receivable.A two-year business or accounting degree is preferred.Prior experience with customer portals.Ability to work independently.Prior experience and familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
Work Environment

This position is based in a quiet office environment with a team of four. The work schedule is flexible, with start times between 7:30 am and 9:00 am, totaling 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in-office. The role involves interaction with various departments such as production, quality assurance, and fulfillment. The company offers excellent benefits, including fully covered medical coverage up to $700/month, a 401k match of 50% up to 6%, and two weeks of sick leave and PTO accrued.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
