Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Erie, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing, and maintaining effective communication with vendors and internal teams. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process incoming invoices, ensuring accurate account distribution and proper identification of purchase order numbers.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with the purchasing department.
• Maintain and update financial records, including filing invoices and checks.
• Communicate with vendors to address payment issues and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle cash advances, debit memos, manual checks, and weekly check runs for open payables.
• Reconcile hourly labor to timecards, calculate overtime and field service pay, and process hourly payroll.
• Input hourly and salary labor data into the company database while maintaining employee master records.
• Manage the petty cash fund, including processing distributions, receipts, and maintaining detailed journals.
• Oversee work order systems for capital expenditures and maintenance, preparing monthly activity reports and journal entries to capitalize assets.
• Conduct detailed analysis and create customer reports using company systems and Microsoft Office tools. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable functions, including cash applications and billing.
• Strong skills in commercial collections and cash activity management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and database management is a plus.
