Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in New York, NY. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in managing invoicing, collections, and financial reporting across various projects and company entities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable processes.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and report on overdue accounts by project, collaborating with departments and project managers to oversee invoicing and collections.
• Manage the processing and reporting of royalty income to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Analyze aging reports across multiple entities and prepare detailed updates for senior accounting leadership.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses for special projects, offering insights and recommendations as needed.
• Investigate discrepancies in invoices, resolve issues, and create corrected invoices to facilitate accurate billing.
• Provide extensive support in collection efforts, including preparing reports, analyzing payment trends, and developing client-specific collection strategies.
• Proactively manage upcoming collection activities to mitigate overdue payments.
• Assist in client billing operations, ensuring timely and precise invoicing.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to streamline billing and collection processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
• Strong proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including cash applications and commercial collections.
• Solid experience with billing functions and managing cash activity.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with project managers and clients.
• Proficiency in financial software tools and systems.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
