Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic and growing company in need of an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong focus on Business-to-Business (B2B) Collections. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a pivotal role in managing the cash flow of the organization, ensuring that outstanding balances owed by business clients are collected efficiently while maintaining professional and positive relationships. Key Responsibilities + B2B Collections: Proactively manage and execute collection efforts on outstanding invoices for a portfolio of business clients, ensuring timely payment while keeping client satisfaction a priority. + Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or disputes in a timely and accurate manner. + Invoice Tracking and Management: Monitor and track open invoices within the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments. + Communication: Maintain consistent and professional communication with business clients via phone, email, and other channels to address past-due invoices and any inquiries related to their accounts. + Process Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiencies in the accounts receivable cycle. + Reporting: Prepare and present accounts receivable aging reports and escalate issues to management as necessary. + Payment Methods: Process customer payments via multiple payment methods, including ACH, checks, or credit cards, and ensure accurate application to the appropriate accounts. + Documentation: Maintain detailed records of interactions with clients in the collections management system, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory policies. + Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, customer service, and finance teams to address and resolve client-related issues. Requirements Qualifications + Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) or relevant professional experience. + Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a strong focus on B2B collections. + Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite. Experience with collections software or CRM systems is a plus. + Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with external clients and internal teams. + Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve client account discrepancies. + Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. + Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Customer Focus: Ability to deliver a positive customer experience while addressing collections issues tactfully and professionally.
