Description Robert Half is working with a leading manufacturing industry to fill an Accounts Receivable Specialist position. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions while supporting a dynamic and collaborative team. Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will focus on managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. Responsibilities include credit management, customer interactions, and reconciliation, with the goal of delivering seamless support to both internal teams and external customers. Key Responsibilities: Proactively contact customers regarding overdue payments and follow up to ensure resolution. Process and evaluate credit applications efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation. Set up new customer accounts and manage updates or maintenance for ongoing accuracy. Issue and track credit memos to customers while resolving related inquiries and discrepancies. Investigate and resolve outstanding credit issues, ensuring strong communication with both customers and internal teams. Maintain organized and secure files for credit invoices and supporting documents. Monitor account activity to manage credit holds and ensure timely approvals/releases. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, including sales, to respond to inquiries and troubleshoot account issues. Manage and maintain Salesforce cases related to customer accounts and credit concerns. Regularly update unapplied payment reports, taking proactive steps to resolve any inconsistencies. Process release of lien requests and provide support for sworn statements of account. Handle tax-exempt certificates and other specialized customer documentation. Work closely with sales representatives to manage collections efficiently and ensure account support. Respond to notice-to-owner issues and manage related documentation. Reconcile assigned customer accounts, resolving open balances and establishing accurate financial records. Support general accounting operations by performing additional duties as needed to ensure the success of the Accounts Receivable efforts.
