Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team in Circle Pines, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while gaining valuable experience in managing accounts effectively. The role requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate billing. • Reconcile accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with customers to address and resolve payment-related issues. • Support month-end close activities by preparing financial reports and ensuring account accuracy. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create detailed financial records. • Work closely with internal teams to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures. • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are received within agreed terms. • Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance financial operations. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on account statuses. • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all accounts receivable activities. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis. • Strong understanding of accounts payable and account reconciliation processes. • Ability to manage month-end close activities with accuracy and efficiency. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. • Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. • Familiarity with financial software and systems is preferred.
