Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes, monitoring account balances, and ensuring timely collections. You will collaborate with various departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Generate and submit accurate invoices in accordance with company policies and client contracts. • Monitor accounts receivable balances and initiate collection efforts for overdue invoices. • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams such as sales and operations. • Utilize electronic billing platforms and portals to process invoices and payments efficiently. • Maintain detailed records of billing activities and account reconciliations. • Prepare reports on aged receivables and collections status for leadership review. • Assist in cash activity tracking and ensure accurate postings. • Support the finance team with additional duties as assigned by AR leadership. • Collaborate on improving billing processes and implementing best practices. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or similar financial roles. • Proficiency in billing software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with electronic billing platforms and payment systems. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
