Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing client accounts, processing payments, and ensuring financial accuracy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a respected non-profit organization. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and record payments, including checks and other transactions, while maintaining detailed documentation. • Perform daily account reconciliations to ensure all deposit records align with financial entries. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to post payments, generate reports, and update customer accounts with precision. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records to ensure accurate reconciliation. • Process payments related to contracts, ensuring compliance and proper allocation within the organization's systems. • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing member inquiries regarding billing, overdue payments, and account balances. • Build rapport with long-term members to foster positive relationships and enhance customer satisfaction. • Maintain detailed financial records to support audits and internal reviews. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts receivable processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, and billing functions. • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software. • Ability to perform accurate reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex financial data. • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. • Familiarity with collections processes in a commercial setting. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. • Previous experience in a non-profit organization is a plus but not required.
