Description Our Galleria area client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong background in collections to join our dynamic team. The AR Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and overseeing collections activity to minimize outstanding balances. This role requires excellent communication, analytical skills, and the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external customers. + Monitor, reconcile, and maintain customer accounts to ensure records are accurate and up to date + Generate and distribute invoices while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. + Contact customers to resolve past-due accounts and establish payment plans if necessary + Document communications with customers and update records regarding collection efforts. + Reduce outstanding balances and improve the accounts receivable turnover ratio through proactive collection strategies. + Act as a liaison for billing inquiries and resolve disputes with professionalism and diplomacy. + Provide excellent customer service to build and maintain strong client relationships. + Create accounts receivable aging reports and performance metrics + Identify and analyze trends in receivables and collections to inform leadership. + Ensure adherence to corporate policies, financial regulations, and collection best practices. + Collaborate with team members to improve the efficiency of AR processes and systems. Accounting software knowledge - (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for resolving disputes and managing payment negotiations effectively. Excellent analytical skills to detect discrepancies, resolve issues, and improve processes.
