Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing billing, collections, and cash application processes, ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, with a hybrid schedule available after training, offering flexibility in a detail-oriented work environment. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, including billing and cash applications, with accuracy and efficiency. • Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances, ensuring timely collections from commercial accounts. • Handle daily cash activity and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records. • Communicate effectively via email and written correspondence to address client inquiries and resolve issues. • Collaborate with internal teams to improve AR processes and ensure compliance with company policies. • Maintain detailed records of all transactions and collections activities for reporting purposes. • Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to accounts receivable for management review. • Utilize typing skills to efficiently manage documentation and communication in a fast-paced environment. • Ensure adherence to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field. • Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including billing, cash applications, and collections. • Strong skills in commercial collections and resolving outstanding balances. • Ability to communicate effectively through written correspondence and email. • Typing speed of 45-60 WPM to handle documentation efficiently. • Familiarity with cash activity tracking and financial reconciliation. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
