Accounts Receivable Specialist

Supports multiple manufacturing facilities by primarily ensuring the AR transactions are processed in a timely manner and collections are timely. Will cover responsibilities in Accounts Payable as needed.

Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform complex analysis and identify solutions to resolve specific business issues supported by strong analytical, organizational and data manipulation/management skills.Receive and process monthly payments from all lines of business, including analyzing and understanding the data relationships and methodology that affect payments.Generate all invoices, credit memos, and debits as required through use of a variety of programs and processes (including consignment and EDI invoicing).Research and resolve inventory discrepancies for consignment customers.Maintain contact with assigned AR accounts.  Provide information on payments and any past due items with recommendations for resolution.Retrieve information from and use customer website interfaces for invoicing.Research, follow-up, and resolve AR issues with customers and responsible departments.Verifies accuracy of customer debits and process vouchers for materials.Maintain necessary files (paper & electronic) in specified formats and timeframes.Provide information to management on a regular and requested basis.Generates/prepares AR reports and account reconciliations.Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.May perform other duties as required.Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university2 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.All required WilbertU Courses based on job title.Preferred SkillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointExperience with ADPExcellent communication (both verbal and written) skills requiredAbility to work with minimal supervisionExcellent skills with Microsoft Office componentsGood commercial understanding as well as good accounting knowledge. Team work ability, cooperative behavior, and a systematic and independent work style.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
