Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with expertise in construction billing to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract-to-Ongoing position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, and thrives in a collaborative work environment. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage billing processes, ensure compliance, and maintain strong client relationships. Responsibilities: • Prepare and issue invoices using QuickBooks and other operational software. • Track and manage invoicing protocols for various properties and management companies, including vendor portal usage. • Coordinate with Project Managers to monitor progress billing and ensure timely, accurate invoicing. • Generate and present Accounts Receivable reports during weekly meetings. • Follow up with clients to resolve outstanding invoice collections promptly. • Update and maintain job statuses in operational software and QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy. • Organize and attach payments to invoices while maintaining comprehensive documentation. • Oversee billing processes and manage the Schedule of Values (SOVs) for construction projects. • Ensure client compliance with vendor platforms such as NetVendor, Vendor Café, and RealPage. • Handle Certificates of Insurance requests and submit new vendor packets as required. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction billing and Accounts Receivable. • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and familiarity with construction billing compliance documentation. • Experience with JobTread software is preferred. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities. • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team. • Knowledge of vendor portals and billing platforms used in the construction industry. • Background in commercial construction accounting is highly desirable.
