Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty through prompt, professional communication and issue resolution. ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty through prompt, professional communication and issue resolution.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns efficiently.Review daily aging reports and contact customers with balances over 30 days past due; document collection efforts and negotiate payment arrangements.Monitor account payment behavior to identify high-risk accounts; recommend escalation to outside collection agency or legal action when necessary.Maintain Accounts Receivable over 90% current, with less than 3% over 90 days past due.Respond to job queues within two minutes to avoid delays in order processing or customer service.Provide accurate updates on delinquent accounts to management weekly and monthly.Process ACH/ECheck, credit card transactions, and related documentation within one business day.Handle NSF checks immediately upon notification.Support branch locations with credit card issues, customer credit holds, and prioritize resolution of time-sensitive matters.Maintain proficiency with company computer systems related to data entry, messaging, call logs, data notations, queue updates, batching, or other job & office functions.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills3+ years of AR experience within accounting and related functions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.Experience with accounting, collections, reconciliation, and accounts receivable functions.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Familiarity with V-lookups and aging reports.Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work model, with office work required from Tuesday to Thursday post-training. The office is located in Lenexa, offering a laid-back, casual environment. You will work in a cubicle office setting near the warehouse floor. Standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM. The training period is approximately 90 days, subject to performance.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
