Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the dynamic energy industry. The ideal candidate will manage the accounts receivable processes with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency, driving timely payments and maintaining excellent client relationships. Proficiency in SAP is essential for this role, as you will be heavily involved in utilizing the platform for financial data management and reporting. Key Responsibilities: + Invoicing and Payment Processing: Accurately generate and send invoices to customers and stakeholders on a consistent schedule while processing incoming payments promptly. + SAP System Management: Utilize SAP systems to monitor billing, reconcile accounts, and update payment schedules regularly. + Customer Account Maintenance: Maintain customer records, including payment plans, disputes, and aging balances, while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. + Collections Efforts: Execute proactive collections strategies to follow up on overdue payments and resolve billing issues in a professional and timely manner. + Reporting and Analysis: Prepare comprehensive accounts receivable reports, aging analyses, and custom reports for stakeholders using SAP features. + Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure all invoicing activities align with regulatory policies and assist with audits when required. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with billing, sales, and compliance teams to improve processes and customer satisfaction. Requirements Requirements: + Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 2 years working in the energy or a related industry. + Knowledge of SAP: Proficiency working with SAP ERP systems (e.g., SAP FI/CO module) and leveraging its capabilities for accounts receivable workflows. + Education: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. + Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with financial data analytics tools is a plus. + Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and internal documentation. + Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. + Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of energy markets, billing standards, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
