Job Description
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will play a key role in managing our financial operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting or finance graduate to grow within a dynamic manufacturing and supply chain company.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare daily cash deposits and fill out cash control sheets.Enter finalized cash receipts and update accounts receivable ledger by customer.Receive cash and checks, and complete credit card charge transactions.Endorse checks and total cash and checks for bank deposit.File check stubs and bank receipts and electronically deposit incoming checks into bank account.Receive ACH and wire transfer payments and apply to customer accounts.Post data and balance accounts.Remove customer hold codes and release paid orders into production.Review and process customer tax exemption certificates.Answer accounts receivable phone and email inquiries and follow up.Post shipment invoice batches and daily deposits.Review Return Material Authorizations and post credits to customer accounts and issue refunds.Process freight claim checks and write off adjustments.Research and process customer claims of invoice payment.Obtain and mail invoice copies for customers as requested and issue itemized statements.Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary to update accounts.Assist with related special projects as required.Compile collection, disbursement, and bank reconciliation reports.Run fraud, credit card, and DLE reports, and maintain all credit card decline transactions.Research and process chargebacks, returns, and bad checks.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting and collection practices.Strong data entry skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Experience in cash application processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.Familiarity with accounting software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office Suites.Experience using EPICOR is a plus.Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
