Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer accounts while maintaining strong relationships with clients. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are skilled in financial systems and committed to delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities: • Generate and review aging reports weekly to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate action. • Accurately apply payments to customer accounts while maintaining detailed records. • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve account discrepancies. • Calculate past due fees and ensure proper documentation for billing purposes. • Manage commercial collections with a focus on resolving outstanding balances. • Perform billing functions, including invoice preparation and account adjustments. • Handle cash activity, including reconciliation and reporting. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for efficient account management and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections. • Proficiency in cash applications and managing cash activity. • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. • Ability to analyze aging reports and resolve overdue accounts effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer relationship management. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities. • Familiarity with commercial collections and past-due fee calculations. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
