Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Credit Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Klamath Falls, Oregon. In this role, you will handle various aspects of credit and collections, customer account management, and cash posting while supporting the overall operations of the Credit & Collections Department. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail who can manage multiple priorities and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Manage credit and collection portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts. • Handle customer data management, including updates and maintenance of customer information. • Perform credit underwriting and financial analysis, including review of financial statements and tax returns. • Process and perfect security measures such as letters of credit, guarantees, bonds, and liens. • Reconcile accounts by addressing residuals, resolving disputes, and processing credits or adjustments. • Prepare and maintain weekly reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review. • Assist with cash application and payment advice processes as assigned. • Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively. • Participate in special projects and cross-training in credit, collection, and cash application activities. • Collaborate with administrative and operational teams to ensure seamless communication and reporting. Requirements • Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance. • At least three years of experience in credit and collections or equivalent education and experience. • Experience in credit underwriting and financial analysis. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Familiarity with standard office equipment and tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Sage is preferred. • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
