Description Our client, a reputable and fast-growing construction company in La Jolla, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team. Roles and Responsibilities: + Prepare, process, and issue accurate customer invoices, ensuring compliance with established standards and processes. + Initiate and follow up on collections activities, ensuring the timely receipt of payments from clients and maintaining positive relationships. + Reconcile customer payments and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate records in the company's accounting system. + Maintain clean and up-to-date aging reports and work to resolve overdue accounts through proactive communication. + Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to address payment-related inquiries or concerns. + Ensure proper documentation of all receivables-related transactions and maintain organized records for transparency and audits. + Adhere to company policies, regulations, and any applicable local/state requirements pertaining to invoicing and receivables. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred (Associate’s degree or relevant certification may be considered) + Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the construction or related industries. + Familiarity with lien management, billing in construction projects, and retention invoices is a plus. + Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 100/300, Viewpoint, or other ERP systems. + Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. + Excellent organizational and time-management skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for client and team collaboration. + Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
