Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Waco, Texas. This is a contract to hire position ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in managing receivables, collections, and credit processes. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the financial operations of a manufacturing company. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Prepare and analyze aging reports to monitor overdue accounts and ensure timely collections. • Handle business-to-business (B2B) collections, resolving payment issues and disputes effectively. • Issue credit memos and manage adjustments to customer accounts as needed. • Collaborate with internal teams to process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) efficiently. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable. • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and provide regular updates to management. • Support the finance team by identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions. • Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, preferably within a manufacturing company. • Strong understanding of aging reports, credit memos, and B2B collections processes. • Familiarity with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedures. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Proficient in relevant financial software and Microsoft Office applications. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and customer interaction. • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
