Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Ventura, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a critical role in managing customer invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Generate and issue accurate customer invoices within designated timelines. • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are collected promptly and efficiently. • Conduct regular follow-ups on overdue accounts and resolve billing discrepancies. • Process customer payments, credit memos, and adjustments accurately in the accounting system. • Prepare and distribute accounts receivable aging reports for management review. • Communicate with customers to clarify payment terms, address concerns, and resolve outstanding issues. • Support month-end closing activities, including accounts receivable reconciliations. • Assist in audits by providing documentation and relevant financial reports. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to address disputes and improve processes. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting functions. • Proficiency in managing billing processes and cash activity. • Strong skills in handling cash transactions and reconciling accounts. • Familiarity with accounting systems and the ability to process adjustments and payments. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication abilities for interacting with customers and internal teams. • Capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. • Experience with preparing financial reports and supporting audits.
