Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our clients team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a Contract-to-hire position that requires in-office presence at least two days per week. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial transactions while demonstrating proficiency with accounting tools and software. Responsibilities: • Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. • Handle customer accounts by reconciling balances and resolving discrepancies. • Apply cash payments and allocate funds to the appropriate accounts. • Conduct collections activities, including follow-ups on outstanding balances. • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable statuses and trends. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency. • Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records. • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. • Support audits and provide documentation as required. • Assist in the development and implementation of improved accounts receivable procedures. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, accounting, or a related field required. • 1 to 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks. • Demonstrated skills in account reconciliation and cash applications. • Familiarity with billing and collections processes, including commercial collections. • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Commitment to maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
