Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II) to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will perform essential financial and accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of the accounts receivable team while enhancing your technical and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
• Perform financial and accounting duties with moderate complexity under close supervision.
• Review, code, and input financial data into the appropriate system to ensure accurate sub-ledger information feeds into the general ledger.
• Conduct research, reconciliation, and analysis of financial data to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Generate and deliver accurate reports to supervisors and senior team members in accordance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Participate in monthly team and department meetings to support growth and technical development, presenting topics as needed.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of financial transactions to ensure compliance with established controls and policies.
• Train new team members and provide cross-training for existing employees to ensure consistent knowledge transfer.
• Develop, review, and update departmental procedures to maintain accuracy and relevance, recommending changes when necessary.
• Ensure the alignment of financial operations with quality standards and organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to address ad hoc financial tasks and operational challenges effectively. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar financial operations.
• Familiarity with sub-ledgers, general ledger systems, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills for researching and reconciling financial data.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and related policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and participate in departmental meetings.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
• Proficiency in training and cross-training team members on operational functions.
• Competence in updating and maintaining departmental procedures and policies.
