Where we work:

This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in our Polanco, Mexico City office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

About this role:

As the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of our receivables function, ensuring the timely and accurate collection of outstanding balances across a diverse customer portfolio. You’ll oversee the end-to-end AR lifecycle, from billing accuracy to cash application, and play a critical role in optimizing working capital and driving operational excellence.

In this role, you'll guide a team of AR professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to resolve complex billing issues, streamline processes, and improve the customer experience. Your analytical mindset and data-driven approach will inform key decisions around credit risk, payment behavior, and collection strategies.

By ensuring compliance, consistency, and strong controls, your leadership will directly impact our cash flow health, reduce risk exposure, and support scalable growth across the organization.

What you'll be doing:

Lead AR Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application across all customer accounts. Drive Strategy & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize the AR lifecycle using automation, AI, and best practices to improve efficiency, reduce DSO, and enhance the customer payment experience. Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of AR professionals by setting performance goals, providing coaching, and fostering accountability and growth. Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and FP&A to resolve escalated billing issues, support contract compliance, and align on customer communication strategies. Monitor and Report on Performance: Own AR-related KPIs and reporting, delivering insights to senior leadership on collection trends, credit risk, and forecast accuracy. Support Global Scalability: Ensure AR processes meet the needs of international customers, adapting for local tax laws, currencies, invoicing formats, and compliance requirements. Risk Management: Develop and maintain credit policies, evaluate customer creditworthiness, and mitigate exposure to bad debt while supporting customer relationships.

What you’ll have: 

Leadership Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable or related financial operations, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, with a proven track record of improving collections performance and team outcomes. Technical Acumen: Proficiency in ERP and billing systems (NetSuite preferred) and CRM platforms like Salesforce. Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to design reporting dashboards and uncover insights to support cash flow and forecasting. Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of the full AR lifecycle — from billing and collections to dispute resolution and cash application — with a mindset for continuous improvement and automation. Accounting & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP and revenue recognition principles, with the ability to ensure AR operations remain compliant and audit-ready. Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret AR metrics and trends, solve complex problems, and contribute to broader financial planning. Global and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with international teams or customers, with an appreciation for regional billing nuances. Confident communicator able to partner effectively with Sales, Legal, and FP&A.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for equity.
