Description We are looking for an experienced individual to support our Accounts Receivable and logistics operations on a contract basis. This position is based in Adrian, Michigan, and requires someone who can quickly adapt to accounting processes while contributing to the smooth handling of import/export logistics. Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
• Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Support logistics operations, including import/export processes and compliance with global trade regulations.
• Monitor tariffs, duties, and taxes to ensure adherence to international trade standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve accounting workflows.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare financial summaries.
• Ensure documentation for shipments and financial transactions is complete and up-to-date.
• Provide expertise in accounting software systems to streamline operations.
• Maintain organized records for audits and compliance purposes.
• Adapt quickly to ongoing accounting and logistics needs within the organization. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting roles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with import/export logistics, tariffs, and global trade regulations (preferred but not required).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across teams.
• Knowledge of accounting software systems.
• Previous experience in a contract-based role is advantageous.
