Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/HR Clerk to join our team in Syracuse, Indiana. This position offers an opportunity to manage essential financial and human resources functions while contributing to the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will excel in administrative tasks, have a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, and demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks.
Responsibilities:
• Generate and process invoices for customers to ensure timely payments.
• Review and approve daily employee timesheets with accuracy.
• Maintain updated customer records in QuickBooks and other company systems.
• Handle incoming mail and vendor receipts, forwarding them to the bookkeeper for processing.
• Contact customers regarding overdue payments to facilitate collections.
• Manage human resources documentation and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Order necessary supplies for the office, shop, and greenhouse.
• Provide administrative support to enhance office efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and processes.
• Respond to incoming calls and inquiries professionally, including managing a multi-line phone system. Requirements • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Prior experience in accounts receivable or administrative roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive HR documents with confidentiality.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and purchasing supplies.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
