Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Lemont, Illinois. This role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate records to support the company's financial health. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts receivable processes, commercial collections, and cash applications. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. • Handle commercial collections with large equipment rentals by following up on outstanding payments and resolving customer billing inquiries. • Apply cash payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies. • Monitor aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate action to recover funds. • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure invoices are correctly issued and adjustments are made when necessary. • Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and prepare reports for management. • Assist with financial audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications. • Work closely with clients and internal teams to address payment issues and foster strong business relationships. • Utilize industry knowledge, particularly in construction, to manage accounts effectively. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial operations., Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles. • Proficiency in commercial collections and cash application processes with large equipment rentals. • Strong understanding of billing functions and reconciliation procedures. • Familiarity with financial operations within the construction industry. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to handle client interactions. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management. • Ability to analyze financial reports and identify discrepancies. • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
