Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a key part in managing collections, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate accounts receivable processes. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in credit and medical collections. Responsibilities: • Handle incoming calls from customers regarding billing inquiries and payment issues. • Manage and oversee the collections process to ensure timely receipt of outstanding balances. • Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions and updates in the system. • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve disputes and clarify payment terms. • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline collections and billing workflows. • Reconcile accounts to ensure proper credit application and payment allocations. • Prepare regular reports detailing accounts receivable status and collections activities. • Monitor aging accounts and implement strategies to reduce overdue balances. • Assist in the development and improvement of collections policies and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in credit or medical collections, preferably within the healthcare industry. • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and practices. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and stakeholders. • Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems for managing accounts receivable. • Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts with attention to detail. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills for resolving payment disputes and discrepancies. • Experience in preparing detailed financial reports related to collections. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
