Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate payment processing, and maintaining account records. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities: • Process and post accounts receivable payments accurately to the appropriate ledger. • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by communicating with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. • Reconcile daily financial transactions, prepare income reports, and distribute relevant statistics. • Research and address short payments on invoices and apply necessary adjustments. • Maintain detailed account transaction notes and ensure strict confidentiality of financial records. • Process credits for returned goods and manage rebates on customer accounts. • Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reporting, and reconciliation. • Facilitate inter- and intra-company reconciliations with manufacturing plants, vendors, and suppliers. • Organize and file accounts receivable paperwork on a weekly basis. • Provide general accounting support as needed and ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred. • 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, including B2B collections and cash applications. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, as needed.
