Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California. As part of a dynamic manufacturing company, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable processes. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and innovative environment. Responsibilities: • Maintain and organize detailed accounts receivable records to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Process and apply payments from customers promptly and accurately. • Investigate and resolve Chargebacks and Discrepancies with Big Box Retailers on invoices. • Adjust accounts as necessary to reflect accurate financial information. • Collaborate with the team to recover outstanding balances and improve collection efforts. • Prepare and process debit and credit memos for customer accounts. • Support month-end closing activities by providing timely and accurate data. • Perform other accounting-related tasks as required by the Accounting Manager. Requirements • At least 2-4 years of experience in Chargebacks and Deductions Research in Accounts Receivable. • An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, QAD or Dynamics systems is highly advantageous. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting financial statements. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
