Accounts Receivable Clerk

Primary Job Responsibilities: + Prepare, process, and monitor invoices to ensure timely and accurate billing to customers + Receive, verify, and post payments to customer accounts, applying credit correctly based on terms and conditions. + Contact clients via email or phone to follow up on outstanding balances and overdue payments to minimize delinquency. + Reconcile and maintain accounts receivable aging reports, identifying discrepancies and troubleshooting issues. + Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service) to resolve billing or payment disputes promptly. + Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards regarding accounts receivable. + Assist with month-end closing tasks, including generating reports and preparing journal entries related to A/R. + Provide support during audits by maintaining accurate documentation and producing requested files as needed. Requirements + 1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting role + High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Dynamics. + Intermediate-level Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). + Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and familiarity with the accounts receivable process. + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with an emphasis on time management and attention to detail. Communication skills are critical for corresponding with clients and internal teams.
