Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Moorpark, California. This Contract-to-permanent position involves managing the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuring accurate invoicing, payment application, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will thrive in high-volume environments and bring expertise in maintaining financial records while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies. Responsibilities: • Manage the complete accounts receivable process, including generating invoices, applying payments, and reconciling accounts. • Monitor customer accounts and aging reports, initiating follow-ups on overdue payments to minimize outstanding balances. • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address billing discrepancies and ensure timely resolution. • Process incoming payments via wire transfers, checks, and other methods while maintaining accurate records. • Prepare accounts receivable reports, reconciliations, and journal entries to support month-end close processes. • Adhere to company credit policies and escalate collection issues when necessary. • Partner with inventory control and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies between shipments and invoices. • Utilize systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) to process invoices, align inventory, and generate reports. • Apply knowledge from wholesale distribution environments to handle high-volume transactions and complex account structures. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related roles. • Proficiency in cash applications, billing functions, and collections. • Strong familiarity with financial systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP. • Ability to manage high-volume transactions and maintain accuracy under pressure. • Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams. • Experience in wholesale distribution environments is highly desirable. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Knowledge of compliance standards and credit policies.
