Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a dynamic team in Midland, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to manage full-cycle accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and vendor relations. The role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounts receivable and a dedication to accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Prepare and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper billing. • Oversee collections activities by contacting clients and resolving outstanding payment issues. • Manage cash applications by applying payments to customer accounts and reconciling discrepancies. • Collaborate with vendors to maintain positive relationships and address any billing concerns. • Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable transactions for reporting and auditing purposes. • Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies while handling financial data. • Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts and identify overdue accounts. • Utilize specialized company software to perform day-to-day accounts receivable tasks. • Provide regular updates to management on accounts receivable status and collection progress. • Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable activities. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in commercial collections and cash applications. • Strong ability to manage full-cycle billing functions with attention to detail. • Familiarity with financial software systems; training will be provided for company-specific tools. • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and vendors. • Proven ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in accounts. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data.
