Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Nashville, Tennessee near the airport. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing collections, payment posting, billing, and commercial transactions. Responsibilities: • Process and record payments accurately, ensuring proper allocation to customer accounts. • Manage collection efforts, including contacting clients to resolve overdue accounts and ensuring timely payments. • Handle billing tasks, including preparing and distributing invoices to customers. • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Perform cash applications by matching payments to outstanding invoices. • Monitor and manage commercial collections to maintain positive customer relationships. • Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to complete tasks efficiently. • Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable to support decision-making. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts receivable processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related roles. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and collection activities. • Strong knowledge of billing procedures and cash applications. • Familiarity with commercial collections and customer account management. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and team members. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
