Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a well-established law firm that is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team! This Accounts Receivable Clerk role involves managing cash receipts, performing collections, assisting with month-end reporting, and handling appeals tracking. The ideal AR Clerk candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities: + Accurately process direct deposits and check payments within the accounting system. + Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, ensuring proper communication with clients. + Generate and analyze daily and weekly cash reports. + Collect credit card payments from clients and make deposits using a check scanner or in-person methods. + Address overdue invoices through soft collections, including resolving disputes and sending account statements. + Maintain and update appeals tracking spreadsheets, monitoring statuses and ensuring timely follow-up. + Perform bank reconciliations and assist in preparing month-end financial reports. + Support the Controller with journal entries, audits, and budgeting tasks. + Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to confidentiality standards. + Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and assist with administrative duties as needed. Requirements + Associate's degree with two years of experience, or three years of accounts receivable experience in lieu of a degree. + Familiarity with General Ledger accounting principles. + Proficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. + Demonstrated ability to generate and interpret financial reports. + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. + Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities. + Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and work independently when required. **For immediate and confidential consideration, please apply directly or send your resume to Jenny Bour via LinkedIn.
