Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate billing processes. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Reconcile customer accounts to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy. • Generate and distribute billing statements while monitoring outstanding balances. • Handle cash applications and collections to optimize cash flow. • Conduct commercial collections and follow up on overdue invoices. • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing or payment issues effectively. • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records for audits and compliance. • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounts receivable processes. • Respond promptly to inquiries from customers regarding billing and account status. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, and account reconciliation. • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel. • Strong knowledge of cash applications and collections processes. • Familiarity with commercial collections practices. • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively. • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal stakeholders. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
