Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Solon, Ohio. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the communications industry, offering a dynamic environment to contribute to financial operations and customer satisfaction. The role involves managing accounts receivable functions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely collections. Responsibilities: • Maintain and update the customer master file to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Process daily credit card transactions and prepare accounts receivable deposits. • Conduct collection calls to follow up on outstanding balances and ensure timely payments. • Review service and sales orders to verify compliance with billing procedures. • Process credit applications, including sending reference requests and coordinating with the Credit Manager. • Apply cash payments accurately and efficiently to customer accounts. • Handle credit and debit memos, as well as return material authorizations, ensuring proper documentation. • Provide backup support for invoicing tasks as needed. • Promote continual improvement by utilizing Lean tools and adhering to quality policies. • Uphold company values such as trust, teamwork, and accountability in daily operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable functions, including billing and collections. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and cash applications. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. • Knowledge of commercial collections and credit management processes. • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. • Understanding of quality standards and customer requirements. • Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives.
