Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client's team in Humble, Texas. In this role, you will oversee collections, payment processing, and the accurate posting of payments to ensure smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate is experienced in accounts receivable processes and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities: • Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and proactively initiate collection efforts. • Foster positive relationships with clients while addressing payment delays and resolving disputes with attention to detail. • Manage and maintain payment portals, ensuring client accounts are accurately set up and updated. • Process incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts with precision and attention to detail. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between payment records and outstanding invoices. • Record remittance advice to ensure payments are matched correctly with invoices. • Communicate with clients to verify remittance details and address any questions. • Collaborate with the accounting team to support month-end closing procedures and optimize workflows. • Generate and share accounts receivable reports with relevant stakeholders to provide actionable insights. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar role. • Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with portal processing, payment posting, and remittance handling. • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members. • Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records. • Experience with cash applications and commercial collections. • Knowledge of systems such as IQMS or similar accounting platforms.
