Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry, contributing to financial operations and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts receivable processes and maintaining efficient workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Record customer payments in the system and prepare deposits in a timely manner.
• Monitor and apply customer credits while ensuring compliance with return procedures.
• Assign payments to corresponding outstanding invoices to maintain accurate financial records.
• Generate and distribute customer statements to facilitate clear communication.
• Manage customer accounts by creating and assigning numbers or codes within the company’s system.
• Process refunds from suppliers and reimbursements for employees as needed.
• Reconcile revenue and receivable accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Analyze discounts and discrepancies in unit pricing to identify variances.
• Provide support to the Accounts Payable Coordinator by processing supplier checks and invoices, assigning appropriate account codes, and generating AP reports.
• Perform additional duties as required, aligned with corporate needs and individual skill level. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including billing and cash applications.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and commercial collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Ability to analyze financial data, including discounts and pricing differences.
• Knowledge of supplier refunds and employee reimbursement procedures.
• Experience with AP processes, including invoice coding and report generation.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
