Accounts Receivable Associate

Description

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate billing and collections of payments from insurance carriers, agencies and others for equipment and services provided by Senior and Community Services and Home and Community Services which could include the following service lines of Home Infusion/Specialty Pharmacy/Oral Dose, Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health, Hospice, and Home Medical Equipment.

Duties For This Role Include:

- Maintains patient accounts by posting charges, cash receipts and adjustments.

- Contacting patients with unpaid medical bills and negotiating payment plans or settlements.

- Working with insurance companies to resolve disputes and facilitate payments.

- Maintaining records of all patient interactions and payments received.

- Monitoring accounts receivable and following up on unpaid bills

Required Qualifications

- 2 years recent Accounts Receivable experience in a healthcare environment with an emphasis on Reimbursement, Medical Billing and Collections.

- Experience with insurance contracts and/or Medicare/Medicaid Regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Coursework/Training: College level courses in medical front office/medical billing.

- Epic experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.50 - $20.84/hr.
