Accounts Receivable Associate (Equipment)

Position Summary
Helps process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The accounts receivable associate will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

Performance Expectations
· Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions.
· Work with lending partners to track and facilitate customer financing transactions.
· Maintain accounts receivable records, reconcile customer payments, collections, generate monthly statements.
· Communicate discrepancies to management team, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates.
· Maintain balance between customer, employee, and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department performance Indicators to align with our company’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
· Strengthen and grow relationships with clients.
· Assist in streamlining and improving procedures by identifying areas of performance improvement.
· Work with Company banks to pull and post electronic payments when needed.
· Work with department members to post payments in loan and accounting systems when needed.
· Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements.
· Provides monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for AR related accounts assigned to them.
· Assists in financial management and analysis, as requested.
· Knowledge of finance contracts and UCC filings and insurance preferred.
Credentials
An Associates or Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Finance/Accounting and/or work experience in equipment finance/accounting or banking

· Ability to make sound financial decisions and change accounting procedures as needed.
· Ability to notify and report to senior management concerning any trends critical to organization’s performance.
· Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of applicable software programs.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite to include extensive knowledge of Excel.
· Continuously maintain current knowledge of all organizational accounting practices through seminars, webinars and professional conferences as needed.
