Accounts Receivable Analyst
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our clients team in Hayward, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations, including cash applications, collections, and billing functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling high transaction volumes while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and post daily cash, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, managing approximately 300-350 payment transactions per day. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as short payments, disputed charges, and invalid deductions in a timely manner. • Conduct collection calls for assigned accounts, maintaining a courteous and detail-focused approach with up to 50 calls per day. • Assist the sales team and order entry administrators by providing guidance on billing issues and reconciling orders. • Maintain detailed and accurate customer portfolios, ensuring all information is current and up-to-date. • Audit orders for accuracy and compliance, placing orders on credit hold as necessary with managerial approval, averaging up to 20-25 orders per day. • Send statements to customers with outstanding balances as part of the collection process. • Organize and maintain financial records, including invoices, debit and credit memos, and other supporting documents. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a background in credit and collections is preferred. • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections roles. • Proficiency in financial and accounting software, such as Lien Writer, and strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing tools. • Intermediate computer skills, including email and internet navigation, along with 10-key proficiency. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
