Accounts Payable & Travel Expenses Regional LeadRole and Responsibilities:We are seeking a highly skilled Regional AP Lead within our Global Business Services (GBS). The role will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the Accounts Payable organization in Monterrey taking accountability for regional delivery. This role will lead a local team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality accounts payable services to internal stakeholders in the region.
The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen on AP processes, related technology knowledge and will ensure that accounts payable and travel & expense processes are efficient, strategic, and aligned with our goals.
Accountabilities:Develop and execute the strategic vision for the AP GBS center, aligning with the overall goals of the organization and the Global Process Owner
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement financial processes that support the business objectives
Accountable for the daily operations of AP GBS, ensuring efficient and effective delivery
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement with 10 – 35 direct and indirect reports
Monitor health and operational metrics tied to global end-to-end processes
Participate in setting operational/performance metrics (KPIs) and ensure delivery against them
Ensure the standardized and designed E2E process is being followed and regularly improved
Continuously look for improvements to processes and increase efficiency within the center, which could involve implementing new technologies, optimizing workflows, or introducing training programs to enhance employee skills
Promote a culture of improvement, transparency and collaboration among site leads and business liaisons across geographies
Ensure the appropriate controls are in place for the process
Collaborate with functional leadership on strategic initiatives/alignment, investment needs, etc.
Review operational data and performance with the regional CFOs
Work with countries’ business leaders to review any requests to deviate from the standard process, and identify opportunities to maximize alignment
Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
English conversational level
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable or finance management
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, expense processes, and relevant technologies (e.g. Oracle, Concur)
Experience leading or working in / with a GBS or SSC center
Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in a global environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, stakeholders and regions.
Passion for sustainability and commitment to aligning processes with organizational sustainability goals.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and driving performance
Preferred:Master’s degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation
Technical Skills and Knowledge:Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Oracle and financial systems
Awareness of financial regulations and compliance requirements
Skilled in gathering, understanding, and implementing processes
Ability to analyze performance metrics and data to support decision-making and strategic planning
Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
