Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Accounting Supervisor/Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure smooth office management in Gloucester, Virginia. The ideal candidate will handle various accounting functions, payroll processing, and compliance with regulatory standards. Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: • Supervise vendor accounts and ensure accurate and timely processing of payments. • Manage vendor records and credit accounts using QuickBooks Enterprise. • Track and collect receivables, preparing job lien waivers and client billings. • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring compliance with filing requirements on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases. • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and health savings accounts. • Prepare and distribute annual tax documents such as W-2s and 1099s. • Generate interim financial statements and manage cash flow through reconciliations and reporting. • Maintain company insurance records and oversee annual audits for liability and workers' compensation policies. • Ensure timely renewal of business licenses, contractor certifications, and compliance with state and local regulations. • Safeguard company records, including personnel files and equipment inventories, while ensuring data backups are performed regularly. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or office management roles. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise. • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax filings, and financial statement preparation. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication skills for liaising with vendors, employees, and clients. • Familiarity with the construction industry is preferred. • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and human resources administrator.
