Accounts Payable Manager – High-Volume Environment | Hybrid Growth Opportunity
Our client, a large specialty service company experiencing significant growth, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a dynamic team and support the organization’s continued success. We are seeking a tech-savvy accounting professional with proven experience managing high-volume transactions who thrives on improving processes and driving efficiencies. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function, mentor a team, and partner closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and develop a team of four accounts payable associates, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
+ Oversee end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of large volumes of inventory and non-inventory invoices.
+ Manage payment runs, cash flow reporting, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
+ Maintain vendor master data, payment terms, and ensure proper segregation of duties throughout the AP process.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, research EDI/electronic invoice issues, and respond to inquiries.
+ Support month-end and year-end close, including AP cutoffs, accruals, 1099 reporting, and audit requests.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
+ Assist senior leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives as the company continues to expand.

Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
+ 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles, with strong high-volume transaction exposure.
+ Prior leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
+ Solid understanding of AP concepts, including 3-way match, payment terms, GAAP, and internal controls.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
