Description We are looking for a skilled and proactive Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team in West Columbia, South Carolina. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in overseeing the Accounts Payable department, ensuring efficient operations, and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. This role is ideal for an experienced individual eager to implement process improvements and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. • Address vendor discrepancies and streamline workflows to enhance departmental functionality. • Implement solutions for recurring challenges, presenting actionable recommendations to improve processes. • Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and development. • Redesign and optimize processes within the AP department to improve efficiency and effectiveness. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies while preparing detailed reports on AP activities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement and Accounting, to maintain seamless operations. • Handle high volumes of transactions with attention to detail and accuracy. • Conduct regular team meetings to align goals and expectations. • Support leadership with insights and recommendations on AP processes and improvements. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related field. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred. • Proven ability to manage and mentor high-performing teams effectively. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP, Concur, and tools for ACH and payroll processing. • Familiarity with accrual accounting and auditing practices. • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently.
