Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting and Accounts Payable Manager to join a dynamic team in Akron, Ohio. This is a hybrid role that offers a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounts payable, payroll, and team leadership. This position requires a hands-on approach to effectively manage daily processes while mentoring and guiding the team. Key Responsibilities: + Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor the accounts payable and payroll team, ensuring high performance and professional growth. + Process Oversight: Oversee all accounts payable and payroll processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations. + Reporting: Pull and analyze financial and payroll reports, identifying trends and actionable insights to support business decisions. + Issue Resolution: Assist team members with resolving escalated issues or process-related challenges and support troubleshooting efforts. + Training: Develop and conduct ongoing training programs to enhance the team's skills and ensure they adopt best practices. + Compliance: Ensure all payroll and accounts payable processes align with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal controls. + Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and help streamline workflows. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Proven management experience, with a track record of successfully leading and developing teams. + Strong background in accounts payable and payroll processing. + Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. + Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel. + Outstanding communication, time management, and organizational skills.
