Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and enhance the accounts payable operations within our organization. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, this role is integral to ensuring accurate payment processing, maintaining vendor relationships, and optimizing workflows. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial management, process improvement, and compliance to support our growing team. Responsibilities: • Manage the entire accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, and payment processing, while integrating AI-driven solutions for enhanced efficiency. • Identify and implement improvements to accounts payable workflows, policies, and procedures to strengthen accuracy and internal controls. • Maintain detailed documentation of accounts payable processes, including AI-enhanced workflows, for reference and training purposes. • Oversee the review and processing of high-volume invoices related to electrical materials, equipment rentals, fleet maintenance, and subcontractor services, ensuring proper coding to relevant project or purchase orders. • Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payment runs, including ACH transfers, wire payments, and checks. • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger and support month-end and year-end financial close processes. • Prepare detailed accounts payable reports for management, providing insights into expenditure tracking by project or service line. • Foster strong communication with vendors to resolve issues promptly and maintain positive relationships. • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, including 1099 reporting for subcontractors. • Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits related to accounts payable processes. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record of process management and improvement. • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to address complex accounts payable issues. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Vista, and advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data and documentation. • Demonstrated ability to streamline workflows and implement process optimizations. • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements, including audit support and 1099 reporting. • Familiarity with handling vendor accounts, reconciling statements, and resolving discrepancies effectively. • Experience in managing high-volume invoice processing and ensuring accurate coding to project and purchase orders.
