Description We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas, on a Contract-to-permanent basis. This role involves managing vendor payments, ensuring accuracy in property-related expenses, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices and payments while ensuring proper allocation of property-related expenses to the correct accounts. • Collaborate with operating partners to route invoices, secure necessary approvals, and deliver payments promptly. • Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and assist in preparing financial reports, including property-related statements. • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of operating expenses. • Track accounts payable metrics to monitor approval times and payment processing speeds. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and legal requirements for accounts payable operations. • Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions to support audits and external reviews. • Provide administrative assistance during audits and external accounting assessments Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable operations, including coding invoices and account allocation. • Proficiency in automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and check runs. • Familiarity with property management systems such as Yardi. • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and compliance standards. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and external partners. • Skilled in tracking and analyzing accounts payable metrics. • Experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) systems is a plus.
