Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Libertyville, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This position is ideal for someone with experience in coding invoices, reconciling payments, and utilizing AP systems. Responsibilities: • Process and manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including coding and entering invoices accurately. • Perform account coding and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions. • Handle payment processing tasks such as Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs. • Conduct 3-way matching to verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts. • Utilize AP tools and systems, such as Concur, to streamline purchase requisitions and invoice approvals. • Maintain accurate records of vendor payments and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations during AP processes. • Collaborate with internal teams to address inquiries related to invoices and payments. • Assist in improving AP workflows to enhance operational efficiency. • Support monthly and annual financial audits by providing detailed AP records. Requirements • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience handling full-cycle accounts payable processes. • Proficiency in coding invoices and managing account coding tasks. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs. • Experience with AP systems such as Concur is a plus. • Strong understanding of 3-way matching and reconciliation procedures. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members. • Basic knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
