Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting Department in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. In this role, you will contribute to managing high-volume invoice processing, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in a collaborative team environment. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounts payable while working with automated systems and contributing to process improvements. Responsibilities: • Process and review invoices using an automated workflow system to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Prepare invoices for payment and verify job cost information for proper allocation. • Execute accounts payable check runs, including printing and distributing checks. • Respond promptly to vendor inquiries, providing excellent customer service. • Maintain detailed records and documentation for all accounts payable transactions. • Utilize technology-driven systems to streamline the accounts payable cycle. • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing reports. • Assist in training and onboarding new team members within the accounts payable function. Requirements • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. • Familiarity with automated workflow systems for document routing and approval; experience with Hyland OnBase is a plus. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high-volume data entry. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy. • Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
